HERBAL MEDICINES, A PROMISE FOR FUTURE HEALTHCARE

NVF chairman Gerben Hoogsteen wrote an article on herbal medicines and their promise for future healthcare for the June issue of Foliolum. Foliolum is the magazine of pharmacy student association Pharmaciae Sacrum at Groningen University. The theme of this issue was nature, providing articles about the natural origins of modern medicine.

In his article Hoogsteen points out why it is important for health care professionals to have knowledge of herbal medicines and plant based supplements. The article also zooms in on EU regulations and quality of herbal products.
